Exploring the Difficulty of Parameters of Swiss German Sign Language Signs
Supervisor(s): Alessia Battisti & Prof. Dr. Sarah Ebling
Summary
There are no well-defined ways to determine the difficulty levels of glosses in sign language and thus categorize them into lists according to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The purpose of this project is to automatically investigate the manual parameters and their combinations in Swiss German Sign Language glosses (hand movement, shape, orientation, and location). Your goal is to develop a system capable of grouping these glosses based on these parameters (and additional features) and triying to assign a difficulty level.
