I am a PhD student in the SNSF project Dynamics of indexical information in speech and its role in speech communication and speaker recognition, supervised by Prof. Dr. Volker Dellwo, Prof. Dr. Martin Meyer and Dr. Natalie Giroud. I have a bachelor’s degree in English philology (Kyiv National Linguistic University, Ukraine) and master’s degree in English and American studies (the University of Graz, Austria). I am broadly interested in voice recognition, forensic phonetics, neurobiology of speech and language, and language evolution. My PhD project focuses on voice production and perception in different listener populations (younger adults, older adults, with and without hearing loss). I use behavioural and neuroimaging methods to study how different factors affect voice recognition, such as audio quality, listener and speaker age, as well as familiarity with the voice.
