I am a postdoctoral researcher working with Prof. Lena Jäger on the OpenEYE project. This short-term project, funded by swissuniversities, aims to promote Open Research Data principles within the eye-tracking community. My role has two main components: I contribute as a software engineer to the pymovements package, and I develop documentation and educational materials for eye-tracking students and the broader public. Alongside my involvement in OpenEYE, I also work on the ForATR project hosted at theDigital History Lab, where I facilitate data access in humanities research and support the adoption of Open Research Data practices and FAIR principles.
During my PhD I researched the impact of generative AI on English and German as part of theNCCR Evolving Language (project Digitisation, work package CompuLang). With no established research paradigm, I explored across multiple linguistics-adjacent disciplines to measure the impact of machine-translated and LLM-generated texts on natural language. In my thesis, I conceptualized generated text to be a locus of language contact, integrating insights and methods from corpus linguistics, psycholinguistics, communication and translation studies.
