Applications for all Bachelor's and Master's study programs at the University of Zurich are handled centrally by the UZH Admissions Office. International applicants

Our courses are taught in English. However, the official main language of instruction of our Bachelor’s program is German. Applicants to the Bachelor’s program may therefore be required to provide proof of German proficiency at level C1.

For Master’s applicants, the applicable language requirement depends on the official main language of instruction of the selected study program. Please consult the UZH language requirements to determine which proof of language proficiency you need to provide.

If you require a visa to study in Switzerland, please note that an earlier application deadline applies. Your complete application, including the required language certificate, must be submitted by this deadline. Please consult the current UZH application deadlines before applying.
