The international study program in Computational Linguistics and Language Technology provides insight into the scientific methods, current theories, and methodological standards of the field.
Computational Linguistics is an academic discipline at the intersection of linguistics and computer science that investigates how the different aspects of language (speech, text, human language processing) can be modeled computationally and applied to specific tasks.
Research questions may be theoretically motivated or may focus on developing tools for automatic natural language processing. The term Language Technology is commonly used to referr to this application-oriented perspective.
