15.02.2022Mare Koit, former collaborator to our department to receive prestigious life-time achievement award in Estonia

Prof. em. Mare Koit of Tartu University has been awarded the prestigious Wiedemann award for her long-standing achievements for establishing language technology education and research in Estonia. Mare collaborated with our department in the 1990s with student exchange visits and a joint research project on information extraction. She is still active and welcomed us during our recent student workshop in Tartu in 2019. Congratulations to Mare!
