Innosuisse approved the Flagship proposal by Sarah Ebling on “Inclusive Information and Communication Technologies”

This is a large 4-year project starting in January 2022 involving four research partners (UZH-CL; HfH Zurich; ICARE; Idiap Martigny), with subcontracting of an additional foreign research partner (University of Surrey, UK), and six implementation partners (SWISS TXT, representing also the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation SRG and its radio and TV stations including Swissinfo, RTR, RSI, RTS, and SRF; CFS GmbH (“capito”), Austria; Swiss Federation for the Deaf SGB-FSS; Federal Bureau for the Equality of People with Disabilities (FBED), representing for this flagship also the Federal Social Insurance Office (FSIO), the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), and MeteoSwiss; Federal Office for Civil Protection (FOCP); Zürich Versicherungs-Gesellschaft AG). The project deals with automatic text simplification, sign language translation, sign language assessment, audio description, and spoken subtitles
