Generation of L2 mnemonics

Some L2 learners learn new vocabulary by visualizing the meaning of a word combined with its sound. For example, the French word "vache" means "cow" but sounds a bit like "wash"; the learner then visualizes the washing of a cow. In this project, you will explore the automatic generation of such mnemonics on the example of one language pair. This will require fuzzy-matching the pronunciation of words and phrases across languages and generating appealing visualizations using text-to-image APIs.
