Excursion to Mount Rigi and Lake Lucerne

On Saturday, 3. September, we organize an excursion to the Swiss mountains. We will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Zurich Main Station ("Zürich HB" or "Hauptbahnhof") and take the train to Arth-Goldau and from there the cog train to Mount Rigi (1800m; see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rigi).

There we will enjoy the scenery, eat lunch (bring-your-own or buy at restaurant) and take a short hike.

In the afternoon we will descend with the cog train to the other side of the mountain to Vitznau. There we will embark on the steamboat on Lake Lucerne towards the city of Lucerne. The final leg from Lucerne to Zurich is a 1 hour train ride.

At around 19:00h we will be back in Zurich. Those interested in seeing more of Lucerne may opt for a later train (at their own expense).

Price: We will organize group tickets for this excursion and subsidize the trip through the fall school. Therefore we can offer this trip for 20 CHF per person.
